Greetings from LPCANC Communications Committee,
As Licensed Counselors it is important that we stay in the loop of our profession. Whether it is learning more about advocacy, training opportunities, proposed changes to licensure or insurance rules and policies, or how we can make an impact in the state of North Carolina, LPCANC, knowledge is key!
Because we care, LPCANC wants to assist members with staying up to date with the most current and effective news as much as possible. If you have any clinical news, or upcoming trainings that you would like to share, LPCANC is always open to our member's providing important information that affects our clinical practices. Please email info@lpcanc.org if you would like an opportunity to contribute to our weekly E-blasts. If it is something that our members need to know, we will post it in one of the upcming E-blasts! Together we can do amazing things!

NCDHHS News:
Have you ever wondered who’s who at the NC Department of Health and Human Services? Well whether or not you have or not, it can be helpful to know who is involved with making decisions for our mental health clients in our state. Here is the most recent organizational chart for your information. |
Professional Association Council (PAC):
What is PAC? PAC brings together associations in the state of NC- the social workers, psychologists, school counselors, clinical mental health counselors(us), etc - on a monthly basis to discuss and share information about the state of mental health for our clients and make collective decisions on what issues to advocate for together. It is a powerful group because PAC is several 'voices' coming together for one cause- to improve the quality, fairness and access of mental health services to all North Carolinians. LPCANC is a contributing member of PAC so we can make sure our members stay informed of mental health issues across the state. To learn more about what happened in the PAC meeting this month, be sure to read the advocacy column in our LPCANC newsletter that was sent out yesterday to your email on December 1st! |
