Did You Know? LPCANC First Fridays
Each week, we will bring you a LPCANC membership tip that you can use to get the most out of your membership. Here is this week’s tip of the week.
A benefit of being a LPCANC member is that you have the opportunity to receive 12 hours of free CE’s to go towards your continuing education requirements to remain licensed.
If you are a student and do not need CE’s yet, the free CE hours will assist you in gaining more knowledge about this profession you are about to embark on! It is a win-win situation for both our professional and student members. This benefit saves you money on buying outside CE’s because for only $130.00 per year (professional members), you receive 12 hours per year. This is a $180 value as each CE for a non-member is $15 each! Each First Friday is held on the first Friday of each month. Please check our website, monthly newsletters, and now our weekly E-blast for when the next First Friday will be held and how to register. Pre-registration is required for all First Friday events.
If this is not enough, LPCANC periodically offers additional professional development trainings in the middle of the month. Members pay a reduced rate of $10per CE for for these PDC events! We hope to see you at our next First Friday on December 2, 2022.

NCDHHS News:
There are two announcements this week from DHHS for Medicaid providers concerning tailored care management. I. Beneficiary Assignment Update
LME/MCOs will begin mailing Tailored Care Management assignment letters to eligible beneficiaries beginning the week of Nov. 14, 2022. A sample letter for NC Medicaid Direct beneficiaries who qualify for Tailored Care Management is available on the NC Medicaid website under Other Beneficiary Notices. II. Temporary Flexibilities and Program Changes
Recognizing this is a time of substantial change for NC Medicaid enrollees, providers and health plans, NCDHHS will implement temporary flexibilities and program changes for the four-month period between the Dec. 1, 2022, Tailored Care Management launch and March 31, 2023, the day before the start of Behavioral Health and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Tailored Plans.
