EVENT:

This 90-minute training and information is intended to begin by providing the attendee with an initial overview in the cultural differences in working with military versus civilian populations. We will then delve into the key mental health factors and correlates as related to the impact of military service; training and combat operations; substance use and misuse; suicide and risk; chronic pain and disabilities resulting from occupational demands and injuries; and moral injury and combat related stress and trauma. 

Program Objectives 

1. Introduce the purpose and history of the licensure board.

2. Review the licensure requirements for each license issued by the board.

3. Provide opportunities for counselors to be involved and engage with the board.

4. Process for ethical concerns and violations.
