EVENT:
The workshop is designed to help participants:
1.Understand recent legislative changes impacting mental health services in North Carolina and their implications for service delivery and funding.
2.Gain insights into state-level initiatives and policy updates.
3.Learn about current licensure regulations and practice standards for licensed clinical mental health counselors, and how recent developments will influence clinical practice and professional requirements.
PRESENTER:
Suzy is a lifelong learner who enjoys all things Brené Brown and the power of connection. She’s a clinician, wife, mom, Army brat, and Texan. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Wake Forest University and is currently pursuing her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Liberty University. She is passionate about her work at the Trauma Center at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC where she is the Trauma Survivors Network Coordinator for pediatric and adult trauma survivors, as well as the Lead Counselor for Pediatric Trauma at Brenner’s Children’s Hospital. When she is not working, she is organizing or re-decorating at home or at work; she believes that your space reflects your personality, and she strives to always create an inviting and relaxing environment for those around her
