The workshop is designed to help participants:

1. Participants will identify the stages of betrayal.

2. Participants will distinguish different tools to use with the clients who have experienced betrayal- including brain health strategies, Window of Tolerance, Karpman's triangle, etc.

3. Participants will identify how to help clients understand and process the stages of grief as it relates to their trauma.

Presenter:

Michelle Gallimore is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor who brings her extensive experience to various platforms, including counseling agencies, schools, correctional facilities, and businesses. Her workshops cover essential topics such as brain health, trauma (including betrayal trauma), and posttrauma growth.

Drawing from her experiences and training, Michelle helps her audience learn and grow, and find the value in moving forward.  She utilizes evidence-based modalities to provide a safe space for clients to address issues such as anxiety, trauma, relationship toxicity, grief/loss, stress, and life transitions.

Michelle is dedicated to empowering her clients, incorporating a holistic approach.  Previously she served as the Clinical Director at The Oaks Therapeutic Community and is a member of the AACC. Michelle holds a Master’s in Clinical Counseling from NCA&T University and a Master’s in Theological Studies. She is a Certified Brain Health Coach/Trainer (from the Amen Clinic), Certified Partner Trauma Therapist Candidate, Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, and is trained in EMDR.

Michelle provides groups and intensives for individuals who have unhealed wounds from trauma and/or problematic, toxic relationships. Topics in this series include Rebuilding After Betrayal, Rebuilding Fences (Boundaries), Rebuilding Softer (posttrauma growth series) and Rebuilding. . .Rooted (trauma-focused skills group). Recognized as Professor of the Year, she has also trained aspiring helpers, and has been featured on multiple podcasts covering topics such as “Surviving Divorce, Breakups and Trusting Your Gut” and “How to Support Children After Mass Shootings”.
